With lots of throttle i could keep it running at 3k or above, but it would die at lower throttle openings I actually had the same problem with the icv on my e30 about 10 years ago After cleaning the valve, everything's back to normal Reasonable sure since you have a complete donor car simple well not exactly simple, but a good tech or shop could do it ,or if your motivated and like figuring out wiring diagrams.the trick will be getting the computer system from your 135i to work in an e30.
